In physics, energy (from the Greek ???????? - energeia, "activity, operation", from ??????? - energos, "active, working"^[1]) is a scalar physical quantity that describes the amount of work that can be performed by a force, an attribute of s and systems that is subject to a conservation law. Different forms of energy include kinetic, potential, thermal, gravitational, sound, light, elastic, and electromagnetic energy. The forms of energy are often named after a related force.

Any form of energy can be transformed into another form, but the total energy always remains the same. This principle, the conservation of energy, was first postulated in the early 19th century, and applies to any isolated system. According to Noether"s theorem, the conservation of energy is a consequence of the fact that the laws of physics do not change over time.^[2]

Although the total energy of a system does not change with time, its value may depend on the frame of reference. For example, a seated passenger in a moving airplane has zero kinetic energy relative to the airplane, but non-zero kinetic energy relative to the Earth

High School counselors have their work cut out for them! Not only must they be a fountain of facts, but they must also be a diplomat with parents, mediator to students, and supporter of their school"s processes and procedures. Add to these the administrative skills of a scheduler and the wisdom of a Solomon to differentiate between right and wrong and make that choice, and you have a profession that is not only challenging but also rewarding.

Who then is a counselor? He or she is an ordinary human being with extraordinary skills. Many of these skills can be learned in the college or post-grad classroom, but most are learned daily in the counseling office. Counselors should choose to be counselors because they love children and young people. If we do not love our job, we should not be in education, much less counseling office

The earliest type of medicine in most cultures was the use of plants (Herbalism) and animal parts. This was usually in concert with "magic" of various kinds in which: animism (the notion of inanimate s having spirits); spiritualism (here meaning an appeal to gods or communion with ancestor spirits); shamanism (the vesting of an individual with mystic powers); and divination (the supposed obtaining of truth by magic means), played a major role.

The practice of medicine developed gradually, and separately, in ancient Egypt, India, China, Greece, Persia and elsewhere. Medicine as it is practiced now developed largely in the late eighteenth century and early nineteenth century in England (William Harvey, seventeenth century), Germany (Rudolf Virchow) and France (Jean-Martin Charcot, Claude Bernard and others). The new, "scientific" medicine (where results are testable and repeatable) replaced early Western traditions of medicine, based on herbalism, the Greek "four humours" and other pre-modern theories.^{[citation needed]} The focal points of development of clinical medicine shifted to the United Kingdom and the USA by the early 1900s (Canadian-born)Sir William Osler, Harvey Cushing). Possibly the major shift in medical thinking was the gradual rejection in the 1400s of what may be called the "traditional authority" approach to science and medicine. This was the notion that because some prominent person in the past said something must be so, then that was the way it was, and anything one observed to the contrary was an anomaly (which was paralleled by a similar shift in European society in general - see Copernicus"s rejection of Ptolemy"s theories on astronomy). People like Vesalius led the way in improving upon or indeed rejecting the theories of great authorities from the past such as Galen, Hippocrates, and Avicenna/Ibn Sina, all of whose theories were in time almost totally discredited. Such new attitudes were also only made possible by the weakening of the Roman Catholic church"s power in society, especially in the Republic of Venice.

Evidence-based medicine is a recent movement to establish the most effective algorithms of practice (ways of doing things) through the use of the scientific method and modern global information science by collating all the evidence and developing standard protocols which are then disseminated to healthcare providers. One problem with this "best practice" approach is that it could be seen to stifle novel approaches to treatment.

Allah is the Arabic language word referring to "God", "the Lord" and, literally according to the Qur"an, to the "God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob" in the Abrahamic religions. It does not mean "a god", but rather "the Only True God", the Supreme Creator of the universe, and it is the main term for the deity in Islam. However, "Allah" is not restricted to just Islam, and used by Arab Christians and Jews according to geographic region. It was used by the the majority of the Arabs in history to refer to God.

All?h is found in the Qur"an and in Arabic translations of both the ; Tanakh and the Gospels and even in the Indonesian translations of the Bible.

Outside the Arabic World, the use of "All?h" is generally associated exclusively with Islam, and is used to refer specifically to the Islamic concept of God. It is nearly the same as the Jewish conception of a single God,^[1][2] but differs from the Trinitarian Christian conception of God. In Islam, the concept of one God is strictly observed. The Qu"ran refers to a Jewish belief in Ezra as the Son of God^{Quran 9:30}, although historical Judaism is also strictly monotheistic.

Islamic scholars often translate "All?h" directly into English as "God", especially Qur"an alone Muslims. Other scholars feel that "All?h" should not be translated arguing that "All?h" is the term for "the Only God" in a glorified pronunciation. This is a significant issue when translating the Qur"an.

According to the tradition of Islam there are 99 Names of God. They are the names of God revealed in the Qur"an
